S.P.U.R. Pathways: Shared Purpose, Unlimited Reach is an innovative funding program, created in partnership with Momentus Capital, that advances a more than a decade long Macy’s, Inc. commitment to underrepresented businesses and aims to galvanize the retail industry to invest in the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Macy's, Inc. now offers a complete and collaborative supplier ecosystem – S.P.U.R. Pathways offers a range of capital and investment solutions. We provide a full suite of lending and investment products, as well as best-in-class business advisory resources.

2. Why is Macy’s, Inc. working in collaboration with Momentus Capital to provide this access now?

Access to funding is critical to entrepreneurial success; by facilitating loan access and equity investment opportunities, Macy’s, Inc. will help to advance entrepreneurial growth.

As part of Mission Every One, our social purpose platform unveiled earlier this year, S.P.U.R. Pathways will provide access to capital that will advance the next generation of retailers. By investing resources in high-potential diverse suppliers at all stages of their business, we hope to create meaningful economic impact within our communities, while serving our customers.

3. What makes S.P.U.R. Pathways unique?

Through an integrated and collaborative approach, Macy’s, Inc. and Momentus will provide access to a range of capital options from microloans to growth capital to equity investments.

In addition to financing options, businesses will have access to necessary tools and new opportunities to progress through various growth stages. This includes an advisory network for strategic growth advice such as business strategy and planning, financial reporting, daily operating challenges, opportunity evaluation, and other personalized services.

4. Who should apply?

S.P.U.R. Pathways is specifically designed to support underrepresented growth-stage businesses. At this point, the program is only offering loans or investments $20,000 and above; no grants are available.
