Macy’s Welcomes Maya Dukes as
Senior Vice President, Creative and Production
NEW YORK, NY, August 25, 2026 - Macy’s today announced the appointment of Maya Dukes as senior vice president, executive creative director, effective August 31. Dukes will report to Sharon Otterman, chief marketing officer, Macy’s, and will oversee the company’s creative strategy and brand expression across customer touchpoints. For Dukes, the appointment marks a meaningful return to Macy’s. She previously served as a senior graphic designer from 2001 to 2007, where she built a strong foundation in creative storytelling, catalog design and brand marketing that has shaped her career.
Dukes has more than two decades of experience leading creative organizations and designing customer experiences for some of the world’s most recognized consumer brands. Her background spans creative leadership and brand expression, bringing storytelling to life across loyalty, fashion, home and lifestyle. This unique combination of creative vision, operational excellence and customer-centric thinking will define her approach to creative leadership at Macy’s.
In her new role, Dukes will partner with marketing, merchandising and digital leaders to bring the Macy’s brand to life across the full customer journey, focusing on strengthening and reimagining the Macy’s nameplate, under the company’s Bold New Chapter strategy.

Dukes most recently served as managing director, global brand, creative and agency operations at Delta Air Lines, where she led enterprise-wide brand strategy, built the company’s award-winning in-house creative organization and oversaw major brand initiatives and partnerships with the Olympics, Team USA, SXSW and CES. She previously held creative leadership roles at Jack Henry & Associates, Comcast NBCUniversal, Tuesday Morning and The Home Depot.
