We’re accelerating the diverse representation of our leadership by achieving 30% ethnically diverse representation by 2025 at all levels director and above to more closely reflect our customers.
We’re providing an enterprise-wide, fully-funded education program for our colleagues through Guild Education, investing approximately $35M through 2025.
We’ve raised the minimum pay rate for colleagues at Macy’s, Inc. businesses to $15 per hour, furthering our mission to be the preferred employer where we operate by offering competitive pay and benefits.
We empower the curiosity and confidence of young people on their journey to become the leaders of tomorrow.
As part of our commitment to empower future leaders, we’ll donate more than $100M by 2025 to nonprofit organizations that support the emotional well-being and education of underrepresented youth, as well as environmental stewardship, such as Girls Inc., Trust for Public Land, APIA Scholars and The Trevor Project, plus many more.
Through the Future of Style Fund, we’re providing $2M by 2025 to support programs and scholarships to underrepresented youth in fashion, design and sustainability, and offering mentorship and employment opportunities through our business.
We engage our customers, colleagues, nonprofit, and community partners in mission-led campaigns, year-round, and will expand these initiatives moving forward. In 2022, we’re proud to have donated more than $34M and volunteered 54,000+ volunteer hours with our community partners.

We're making it easier to find and shop products that are independently certified as responsibly made.
We're incorporating sustainably sourced raw materials and fibers into the design of our own products (including cotton, synthetic, and all wood-based materials) to support our goal of achieving 100% preferred materials in Macy's, Inc. Private Brands by 2030.
We're advancing worker's rights, women's equality, and family well-being in our global Private Brands value chain by investing $500K with nonprofits like Fashion Makes Change by 2025 to support our suppliers and their factories. We will also include worker well-being in social and environmental audits of 100% of our Strategic Tier 1 Private Label supplier facilities.
We're improving our operations by investing in sustainable innovations that help reduce, reuse, and repurpose materials to eliminate waste. We have also committed to set near-term company-wide emission reductions in line with climate science through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
