Timothy M. Adams
Chief Private Brand Officer
Timothy Adams was elected chief private brand officer in February 2009. He is responsible for the organization that concepts, designs, sources and markets Macy's portfolio of highly successful private brands of apparel, accessories and home goods. From July 2005 to February 2009, Adams served as chairman and chief executive officer of Macy's Home Store. Prior to joining Macy's Home Store, Adams was chairman and chief executive officer of Macy's Florida in Miami since April 2001. Adams began his retail career at Macy's in Atlanta in 1976. In 1989, he joined Macy's West in San Francisco as a merchandise administrator and rose to become executive vice president/general merchandise manager in 1994. He was named president of The Bon Marché in Seattle in 1997.
Chief Merchandising Officer
Jeffrey Gennette was elected chief merchandising officer of Macy's, Inc., in February 2009. He is responsible for all buying and merchandising functions for Macy's nationwide and for relations with the company's market vendor partners. From February 2008 to February 2009, Gennette served as chairman and chief executive officer of Macy's West in San Francisco. Prior to this position, Gennette was named chairman of Macy's Northwest in Seattle in December 2005 and executive vice president and director of stores for Macy's Central in Atlanta in 2004. Previously, he was named senior vice president/general merchandise manager at Macy's West in 2001. Gennette joined Macy's West in 1983 as an executive trainee and also has served with FAO Schwarz and Broadway stores.
Chief Merchandise Planning Officer
Julie Greiner was elected chief merchandise planning officer of Macy's, Inc., in February 2009. She is responsible for centralized merchandise planning and assortment allocations for all Macy's stores, as well as for the company's district/region merchandise planning structure and function. Prior to this position, Greiner was chairman and chief executive officer of Macy's Florida in Miami since July 2005. She also was senior executive vice president of New York-based Bloomingdale's and served as its director of stores since April 1998. Greiner began her retailing career in 1975 as an executive trainee at J. W. Robinson's in Los Angeles, and rose through positions of increasing responsibility in the merchandising and stores organizations prior to joining Bloomingdale's in October 1993.
Robert B. Harrison
Chief Omnichannel Officer
Robert B. (R.B.) Harrison, became Macy's chief omnichannel officer in January 2013 after serving since July 2012 as the company's executive vice president for omnichannel strategy. In addition to his role managing the development of strategies to closely integrate the company's stores, online and mobile activities, Harrison is responsible for the company's systems and technology, logistics and related operating functions. He previously been executive vice president for finance since 2011, president for stores since 2009 and president and chief operating officer of Macy's West since 2008. Harrison became president and chief operating officer of Macy's Northwest in February 2006 following Macy's, Inc.'s acquisition of May Company. Previously, he had been chairman of Robinsons-May since October 2004, having served as its senior vice president and chief financial officer since June 2002, as well as the senior vice president for finance of the Meier & Frank division before it was merged with Robinsons-May. Harrison began his career at Kaufmann's in 1986 as an accounting analyst and served in positions of increasing responsibility before becoming vice president and controller of Kaufmann's.
Jeffrey A. Kantor
Chairman of macys.com
Jeff Kantor was named chairman of macys.com in February 2012 after serving since August 2010 as macys.com's president for merchandising. Previously, Kantor had been Macy's president, merchandising for home since May 2009. From February 2006 to May 2009, he was president for furniture for Macy's Home store. For the previous two years, Kantor was president of the Hecht's/Strawbridge's division of the May Department Stores Company, which was acquired by Macy's, Inc. in 2005. He also served as senior vice president and general merchandise manager for cosmetics, accessories, dresses, suits, intimate apparel and hosiery at the Boston-based Filene's/Kaufmann's division of May Company. Kantor joined Filene's in Boston in 1981 as an assistant buyer for men's.
Chief Marketing Officer
Martine Reardon was named Macy's Chief Marketing Officer in February 2012. Previously, she was executive vice president for marketing since February 2009. From 2007 to 2009, Reardon was executive vice president, national marketing strategy, events and public relations for Macy's Corporate Marketing. Reardon began her retail career in special events at Federated Department Stores' Abraham & Straus division in 1984. Among her other roles were operating vice president, director of media for Abraham & Straus, senior vice president of marketing and sales promotion for New York-based Macy's East, and executive vice president of Macy's East, including responsibility for the Home Store.
Chief Stores Officer
Peter Sachse was named Macy's Chief Stores Officer in February 2012. Previously, he served as the company's Chief Marketing Officer since May 2007 and chairman of macys.com since April 2006. Sachse was Macy's first chief marketing officer when the Macy's Corporate Marketing organization was formed in 2003. Prior to that time, he served as president of The Bon Marché in Seattle. Sachse began his retail career in 1980 at Macy's in Kansas City. Over the course of his career, his roles included senior vice president and general merchandising manager at The Bon Marché, executive vice president and general merchandise manager at Macy's East in New York, and vice chairman and director of stores at Macy's East.
