As a retail company, opportunities to place merchandise in our stores can be found in just about every department, specifically:

• Women's -- Moderate Sportswear, Outerwear, Active, Swim, Junior's, Accessories, Sleep Wear, Day Wear, Intimate, Casual, Career and Dresses.
• Men's -- Neckwear, Knit & Woven Sportswear, Young Men's, Outerwear, Furnishings, Contemporary, Accessories and Suits.
• Children's -- All areas.
• Accessories -- All areas.
• Cosmetics -- Fragrance, Bath & Body, Color & Treatment lines.
• Home -- Decorative Home, Textiles, Small Electrics and Housewares. Furniture opportunities are very limited.

Macy's Merchandising Group, a New York-based division of the company directs and coordinates our retail buying process. It brings together the top merchants in every merchandise category to develop strategies and direct merchandise assortments.

The various Macy's Merchandising Group teams drive many of the company's merchandise selections while items bought to round out the assortment are sourced and purchased directly by merchants in each department store division around the country. This allows buyers to tailor their purchases according to local demographics, regional climate and their customers' distinct fashion preferences.

Supplier or service opportunities can be found in any number of areas, including data processing materials and services and printing and office supplies, to draperies and upholstery, electrical equipment, contract cleaning, construction and advertising and marketing. The Corporate Purchasing Department or the Store Planning and Construction Group, handle these purchases. Both are located in Cincinnati.
