As part of Macy's focus on programs for youth and education Macy's supports organizations such as the United Negro College Fund, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund. Macy's partnership with the UNCF included a $300,000 grant to establish a national program aimed at students attending HBCU's, increasing their exposure to the retail industry and preparation for retail careers, scholarships awarded to students attending HBCUs Clark Atlanta University, Spelman, Morehouse, and Florida A & M , and support of UNCF fund raising events in key markets such as New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Oakland, Dallas, and Houston.
