Why Should We Participate?
Why not? Participating in Community Shopping Day is very easy.
- Qualifying nonprofits earn funds through their direct sale of Community Shopping Day tickets and may share a split of store ticket sales.
- Not only is Macy’s providing the tickets to sell at no cost to nonprofit partners, but Macy’s will also promote the event in the local media and buy ads in local newspapers. Macy’s will include your charity information in ads and media releases to help spread the word that you are selling.
- Macy’s will also provide organizations with tools for organizations to promote tickets sales in the community (i.e. flyers and/or a draft of a media alert for organizations to send out in the community to spread awareness on their ticket sales).
- The store will be selling tickets as well, and Macy's will share the in-store ticket sales with all participating organizations based on their supporters' attendance on Community Shopping Day (based on number of labeled enter-to-win ballots deposited in sweepstakes box).
- Macy’s will promote the event with signage in store.
