Macy’s Innovation in Business
Macy’s is the Great American Department Store – an iconic retailing brand with
about 840 stores operating coast-to-coast and online at macys.com. We offer powerful
assortments and the best brands, tailored to each and every customer with obvious
value, engaging service and unforgettable moments. Clearly, Macy’s is distinctly
different from other major retailers.
Macy’s has a long history of innovation in business. We're continually looking for
new ways to delight the customer, deliver value and build sales and profits, and
we've long been recognized for our commitment to fostering the growth and development
of our vendor resources, including multicultural- and woman-owned
enterprises.
We regularly look for qualified new vendors of goods and services and we
strongly encourage interest from potential vendors through our nationally recognized
Vendor Diversity Program, which is open to U.S.-based multicultural- and woman-owned
enterprises.
To help achieve this goal, our latest innovation is The Workshop at Macy’s. This
comprehensive retail vendor development program includes an intensive 4 ½-day workshop and
is designed to give select high potential multicultural and/or women business owners the
tools to better succeed and sustain growth in the retail industry.
To help us identify the best candidates for participation in this groundbreaking program,
we're now accepting applications for the next Workshop class, which will be held in Spring 2012.
To apply for this program, which past participants have described as “life-changing,” review the eligibility requirements and submit your application before midnight on January 22, 2012.
And the program is free. Yes, you read that right. To learn more and get details on
how to apply, read the program overview.
