Newsweek Magazine has released its rankings of the 500 greenest companies in the United States.
Macy's ranked 5th among U.S. retailers and 50th in the overall study.
Companies were evaluated on their environmental impact, as well as, their green policies and reputation.
While Macy's considers itself still early in implementing sustainability strategies,
Newsweek recognized Macy's for use of solar power,
recycled paper and eco-friendly products offered in our stores.
